Kong: Sometimes walking into a party can be the hardest part, don't you think?
Olive: I find it best to slink in and find a bed to hide under until the drinks comes out.
Kong: If you can make it past the first 10 minutes the rest is usually not that bad.
Kong: I like to find the most interesting person in the room and sit with them. Nobody will expect you to be especially talkative.
Olive: Is that why you alway sit with me?
Kong: Don't do what the extroverts and cool kids are doing just to fit in. You will will usually end up looking desperate.
Olive: Just who is the cool kid in this photo?
Kong: If you get out of your head and look around, you might be surprised to find another soul who feels similarly socially weary.
Olive: Is that a Margarita?
Kong: Never let extroverts overwhelm you and put you in a corner. Be aware of your surroundings and have a conversation grouping escape plan.
Olive: I borrowed those earrings from Kyle.
Kong: Try the "Fake it till you make it" approach. You might be surprised that you are actually having a spot of fun.
