Kong: I was surprised to know you trained with Marcel Marceau.
Olive: It dates me, so I don't talk about it. Cel, as I called him, was beyond a mentor....I am not trying to say we had a sexual affair. That is unfair of you to ask. My reputation....
Kong: I am sorry if I was inappropriate about your teacher, dear Olive. Let us move one to the Swiss group Mummenschanz. (Read more below)
Olive: It was wonderful working with the artists, but I butted heads with Arthur Shafman and Robert B. D'Angel and had to leave. I really feel like we missed an opportunity.
Kong: Now we must discuss SOY.
Olive: Thanks for mentioning the original name for the company. Shields, Olive & Yarnell (SOY) was formed by three mimes with a shared idea. By the time we were on the covers of TV Weekly, I was already being marginalized. Robert and Lorene started a relationship and I became a third wheel. It is the Yoko story all over again.
Kong: What a story! How did you hold on to your artistic talent?
Olive: It was very very hard. I made the softest beds possible and napped whenever I felt stressed.
Kong: You amaze me with your resilience and dedication to craft. I will end this with the words Goggle tells me are important SEO terms I should have in every post. Lifestyle blog, social commentary artists, art, mime, cat, kong, kong and olive, performance art, video art, goop, entertainment.
Kong: Please let me know if I missed a term.
